Padma Vibhushan Prof. Dr. M. Sarada Menon

She is a renowned Psychiatrist, social worker and the founder of Schizophrenia Research Foundation (SCARF) and founder patron of the International Institute of Psychotherapy (IIP). Padma Vibhushan and an Avvaiyyar Award recipient, she is a former Madras Medical Service officer and the first woman psychiatrist in India.

Dr Hema Tharoor

She is a senior consultant Psychiatrist with 20 years of experience. Dr Tharoor is the recipient of Dr TMA Pai Gold Medal for Excellence in Medical Research and won Dhruv Kumar Award for Best paper in Psychotherapy twice. Dr Tharoor has over 40 publications in international and national indexed journals and co-authored several chapters in books on Psychiatry.

Dr James Devasagayam

He is a Consultant Clinical Psychologist with 15 years of experience and worked with substance dependents, epilepsy, and stroke patients. His interests are neuropsychology, personality assessments, and therapy. He has been teaching and providing research guidance to graduate, post-graduate and doctoral candidates for the last twenty years. He is an approved Ph.D. guide.

Adv. Arul Manickam

He has 20 years of experience in legal and management consultancy and advocacy. He has a postgraduate degree in Social Work from Loyola College and a Bachelor of Law. His expertise includes laws of the constitution, business, intellectual property, information technology, contract, negotiable instruments, and transfer of properties. He presents cases before National Company Law Tribunal, Debt Recovery, and Green Tribunal.

Aspy Joyson

She is a professional Social Worker with three decades of experience. She is Director and Founder Trustee of Aruwe. She works for the care, support, protection, rights, and welfare of the urban poor. She is a member of the Advisory Committee for Shelter for the Urban Homeless, Government of Tamil Nadu. She is a member of the Board of Studies at the University of Madras and MSSW for Social Work. She also offers her service to enable a gender-sensitive work environment in many organizations.

Rachel Victor

She is a social work professional with a postgraduate degree from Stella Maris College, Chennai. She is the Founder Trustee of Aruwe and a member of the Child Welfare Committee, Government of Tamil Nadu, Chennai. She has over 20 years of experience in social development and the IT sector. She is involved in internal and external capacity building in areas of documentation, monitoring, and evaluation related to children and elderly care.

Dr Keerthi Pai

A clinical psychologist with an MPhil from KMC Manipal and Ph.D. from Madras University. She is a consultant clinical psychologist in Apollo hospitals and a Partner in Element H. She is guest faculty in the Institute of Mental Health, Chennai. She is a joint secretary of TNACP. She got trained in marine psychology from Denmark and is involved in psychological assessment and therapy for seafarers in South East Asia. She is a certified Clinical Supervisor from ACA Australia.

Dr Jayakumar Menon

A consultant psychiatrist who straddles between countries Dr Jayakumar Menon is an adjunct professor of psychiatry at SRMC. His sound clinical knowledge and acumen have helped him to get several accolades, including Professor Derek Frewin Citation for Excellence in Clinical Teaching from The University of Adelaide, Australia. As a specialist in neuropsychiatry, the areas of his interests include Alzheimer's disease, neuropsychiatric aspects of Parkinson's disease, and cognition in schizophrenia.

Dr Kannan

A child and adolescent psychiatrist with over 15 years of experience. After completing his MBBS and MD from Madras Medical College, he moved to Australia to complete his formal training in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry. He is passionate about early intervention and prevention of mental disorders. Perinatal mental health, parenting, school-based mental health, and autism spectrum disorder are the key areas of his interest. Currently, he is working as a Child Psychiatrist in Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service in Australia.

Dr Vijayaraghavan

He is a Consultant Psychiatrist, coordinates the Youth Mental Health Program at SCARF, Chennai. He is involved in clinical, outreach, and research projects concerning the mental health of young people and early psychosis. He is a recipient of the Fogarty Fellowship, NIH, USA and Nurturing Clinical Scientist Fellowship, ICMR, India. Dr Vijay has over 45 publications in national and international journals.

Dr DSA Karthickeyan

Dr DSA Karthickeyan is a consultant in the field of general medicine and public health. He has extensively worked on health projects across India, Maldives, and the USA. He worked as a RePORT India Consortium Coordinator for Indo-US Vaccine Action Program and as a Medical Consultant for the Revised National Tuberculosis Control Program (RNTCP) Technical Support Network (TSN). He is the Founder and Chair of the Academy for Public Health and a mentor of structured operational research initiatives of The Union and WHO. He is a medical officer to FIND, a Swiss-based not-for-profit organization.

Dr Thaddeus Alfonso

Dr Thaddeus Alfonso is a mental health professional and a life coach with 18 years of experience in consulting, teaching, and research. He has a post-doctoral fellowship at the Indian Institute of Technology Madras. He is a practising psychotherapist and a mentor of structured operational research initiatives of The Union and WHO. Formerly, he worked with Niraivagam–Don Bosco Institute of Psychological Services, HCL, The Institute of Neurological Sciences, and TCS. He has been a consultant to several national and international organizations including UNICEF, UNDP, CHAI and PHFI. He is a certified Clinical Supervisor from ACA Australia.
